Set to launch with update 0.13, Streets of Tarkov serves as a huge departure from maps of the past. This time around, players are dropped into the streets of Concordia, a business class residential complex split between two buildings. Inside, the trailer shows players navigating through day-care centers, barren supermarkets, and a large underground parking area. With players being forced to navigate the dark interiors and tight corridors or risk exposing their positions on the street, Tarkov players will need their best builds to survive.

Even the best might not be enough, as the trailer for Escape From Tarkov’s Streets location also shows off some pretty intense firefights. One thing made clear is that lighting plays a major part in which side has the advantage. While the darker corners of the building give players an advantage against those roaming the street, night vision goggles eliminate any surprises. That’s not to mention flashlights, which can serve as a great way to blind the enemy mid-assault.
Tarkov fans also get a glimpse of another urban-like setting that focuses more on narrow streets and smaller buildings. Of course, the streets are just as unsafe here, as the buildings allow for some deadly vantage points. If that wasn’t enough, the trailer’s final moments show an enemy squadron arriving on an APC. It’s too soon to tell if it’ll be operable by players, but either way, those on the receiving end will definitely want to take cover fast.
Streets of Tarkov has been in development for over a year now, with players getting the first teaser almost a year ago. Thankfully, it won’t be long before Tarkov fans can begin navigating the war-torn Streets of Tarkov themselves. While the trailer doesn’t end with a conclusive release date, players can still expect to hit the streets of Concordia before the end of 2021.
Escape From Tarkov is available to play on PC.
