As a piece of Light gear, the Spaulder of Ruin is a powerful support-oriented Mythic that sacrifices the wielder’s damage output to enhance their teammates’ DPS even more. Interestingly, it procs when the player crouches, so remember to unequip this when going on stealthy adventures in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Spaulder of Ruin Effects

The Spaulder of Ruin gives its wielder access to the Aura of Pride, a 12-meter-wide area that gives up to six allies 260 Weapon and Spell Damage while reducing the wielder’s own Weapon and Spell Damage by 130 for each ally in the Aura. The Aura of Pride only exists while the player is crouched, making the caster less mobile as well as unable to put out as much damage.

The Spaulder of Ruin is likely to be a very interesting Mythic thanks to this effect. It grants a huge bonus to teammates while sacrificing the healer’s own ability to move in combat or contribute to damage numbers. With good enough allies these personal debuffs shouldn’t matter as much as the huge boons the team receives, but its effectiveness is likely dependent on the party as a whole.

How To Get The Spaulder of Ruin

Each of the three Mythic items introduced in the Deadlands DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online can be created through the Antiquities system. Because of the high quality of these unique Mythic items, only Master-level Scryers are able to put them together.

By following five Leads and uncovering five fragments players are able to combine them into the Spaulder of Ruin. Be patient when Scrying these Leads, as Master-level Leads can take several Scrying attempts to narrow down on a select few excavation sites, which cuts down significantly on time spent wandering from excavation to excavation.

Associated Leads

There are five associated Leads with the Spaulder of Ruin. These Leads can be found throughout the Deadlands and Fargrave, though the specifics of how to find these Leads are still being discovered as players dive headfirst into the Deadlands.

If we go by precedent from previous years, these Leads will likely be found in Deadlands Dungeons, Delves, the Overland, and on Boss enemies (like World Bosses or the new Wandering Executioners) throughout the Deadlands. Keep an eye out for these five Leads, make sure your Scrying skill is up to par, and get a head start on putting together this Mythic piece of gear.
